MY CATS
I have two cats, Bucky and Peanut.

Bucky Chad Bortles

Bucky is 12 years old, and I got him when he was 7 years old. He lived with another cat that he wasn't bonded to, with an older lady who passed away. He's very gentle and sweet. He can be easily afraid and shy at first, but he loves to be petted so once he knows that you're going to pet him he will come out and roll around and get belly rubs. He is a little clingy, and always wants to be near people, but he is not a lap cat.

He has begun sleeping with me at night - he used to sleep by my feet but now he likes to be the little spoon and snuggle up with me. He's a picky eater and he is allergic to some foods so he has fancy expensive food. He is playful when he wants to be. He loves ribbons and laser pointers. Sometimes at night when I'm asleep he goes and 'hunts' toy mice and brings them back and leaves them at the foot of my bed. Bucky also likes a lot of kinds of human food but he will wait patiently to give you a morsel. You have to pull a chair out for him at the dining table so he can sit next to you.

Peanut Petunia

Peanut is 5 years old, and I got her when she was 1.5 years old. Peanut was initially named Petunia but her personality is not fancy enough for that. She was a young mother, and miscarried after being shaken by a dog. She is small and chunky, and she's very soft. She's super friendly and affectionate, and very playful. She wants to be everyone's friend, but lately she's been a little jumpy and easily startled.

She's very food motivated - but for cat food, not human food. She unfortunately is very interested in water, and will stick her paws into an unattended glass or knock it over. Peanut loves gossip, and enjoys being out on the balcony, shoving her front half through the bars so she can hear what the neighbors are up to. Peanut loves to play, and she also likes to be brushed on the top of her head. She enjoys belly rubs too.

Together

I fostered about a dozen cats before I adopted Peanut, and Bucky was bullied by every single one of them. Peanut is the first one who didn't bully him, because she just wanted to be his friend so badly. They are not bonded, but they do get along fairly well now. Sometimes Bucky will groom Peanut when I'm not looking, and they wrestle together a lot. She's his little sister who yearns for his approval and he's her big brother who finds her annoying but cares about her regardless.
